Who we are
Design to Merch is a ChatGPT app published by Design to Merch, Inc. (“Design to Merch”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what the app stores, why, who receives it, and the choices you have.
Design to Merch is the app publisher. SelecticDesigns.com (SOLD LLC) is a separate company and the seller. When you check out on the SelecticDesigns store, SelecticDesigns collects and uses your order, delivery and payment details under its own privacy policy.
Your conversation with ChatGPT is handled by OpenAI under its own privacy policy. Design to Merch receives only what ChatGPT sends to the app when you use it, such as your product choice, design options, short descriptions and the artwork image. We don’t receive your ChatGPT password or your payment card details.
What we store and why

How long we keep it
We keep print files, unlisted product pages, and order and support records for as long as they’re needed to make and support an order, and longer only where the law requires it. We do not currently delete these files automatically on a fixed schedule. When they’re no longer needed, we remove them, and you can ask us to delete them sooner (see below).
Who receives data
We share data only with the kinds of recipients below, and only for the purposes in the table:
- SelecticDesigns and its store platform, to host your product page and sell your order;
- print and fulfilment partners, to make product photos and to make and ship your item;
- hosting and infrastructure providers, to run the app and store files;
- image-processing services, to prepare your artwork at print resolution;
- our email provider, to handle support messages; and
- authorities or others when the law requires it, or to protect rights and safety.
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising.
Unlisted product links
A purchase link opens an unlisted page on the SelecticDesigns store. It doesn’t appear in the store’s search or collections, but anyone who has the link can see the page and your artwork. The app asks you to accept this before it creates a link. Share the link only with people you’re happy to show.
Your choices
- Deletion. Ask us to delete your artwork, print files and unlisted product page. We’ll do so unless they’re still needed for an order that’s being made or supported, or the law requires us to keep them.
- Access and correction. Ask what we hold about you, or ask us to correct it.
- Order data. For order, delivery or payment details, contact SelecticDesigns.
Email support@designtomerch.com. We may ask for the purchase link or other details to find your files and confirm the request is yours. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under local law, and you can complain to your data protection authority.
Security
Editing sessions are encrypted and use random keys that are hard to guess. We limit who can reach stored files. No system is perfectly secure, so please don’t include sensitive personal information in your artwork.
Children
Design to Merch is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has used the app, email us and we’ll delete the data.
Changes
We’ll update this page when the app changes how it handles data, and change the effective date above.
