How it works
You approve every step. Nothing is bought until checkout.
Design to Merch is a design helper inside ChatGPT. It turns your idea into print-ready artwork for a real product, then hands you over to the SelecticDesigns store to buy it.
Open Design to Merch in ChatGPT
Start a chat and describe the gift: who it’s for, the occasion, and anything you picture. A photo you have the rights to can be part of the idea.
Choose a product
Pick from the products that are available right now, such as an ornament, a mug or a shirt. The app knows each product’s print shape, so the artwork is made to fit.
Shape the artwork with ChatGPT
ChatGPT makes the artwork. Ask for changes as many times as you like: a different color, bigger lettering, a simpler style.
Approve the final artwork
When it looks right, you approve it. Only the artwork you approve is used for the product.
See real photos of your product
The app shows photos of your approved design on the actual product, from every view that product has. Check them carefully, including any small words.
Confirm the price
You see the product price before you create a link. Shipping and any tax are added at checkout on the store.
Get your purchase link
Ask for a purchase link, and the app creates a product page for your design on the SelecticDesigns store. The page is unlisted: it doesn’t appear in the store’s search or collections, but anyone who has the link can see it.
Check out at SelecticDesigns
Open the link, choose any options, and check out at the store. SelecticDesigns sells, makes and ships the order, and handles any order questions.
What you approve, and when
The artwork
You approve the final image in ChatGPT. Until then, nothing is prepared for printing.
The product photos
You see your design on the real product before you decide. If something looks wrong, change the artwork or choose another product.
The price
The product price is shown and confirmed before a purchase link is made. Shipping and tax are shown at checkout.
The purchase link
Creating a link is a separate choice. You’re told first that anyone with the link can see the design.
Nothing is bought until checkout. Approving artwork, viewing photos and creating a link don’t place an order or charge you. You only pay if you check out on the SelecticDesigns store.
Who does what
Design to Merch is the ChatGPT app. It helps you prepare the artwork, shows product photos and creates your purchase link. It is published by Design to Merch, Inc.
SelecticDesigns.com (SOLD LLC) is a separate company. It runs the store at selecticdesigns.com, sells the product, takes payment at checkout, has it made, ships it, and handles returns, reprints and refunds under its own policies.
ChatGPT makes the artwork from your description. Design to Merch is an independent app and is not made by OpenAI.
